Trends on Trends on Trends❗️

Trends on trends on trends! Following them can become an addiction – celebs, bloggers, flashbacks from the past, they all make us crave these new ideas for fashion. Some trends we adore and start to follow, while others may make us cringe a little (we’re talking to you, neon windbreakers 😜 ).

No matter the trend, we always love to see the creative ways people express themselves. Moon and Lola may even create a few of our own! With NYFW upon us, we are excited to see the next big trend, and have decided to dedicate this post to a few current trends that tickle our fancy.

1. First on our list is the choker.

This trend started around a year ago and we are oh so thankful that it did. We all loved wearing them in junior high so why not go through that same happiness now? (We're going to pass on the pigtails and braces though!) Chokers accentuate your neckline and draw attention to your collarbone. See Moon and Lola's choker selection here.

2. Tassel Earrings

Long, short, sparkly, matte or textured, we love a tassel! It feels like an instant party when we wear these as earrings. We were thrilled to spot them during NYFW. You could wear this swingy style with a potato sack dress and still be glamorous.

Revamp your wardrobe with Moon and Lola's Artik tassel earrings.

4. Big Framed Glasses

D-I-V-A. We want to be her when we grow up. Big framed glasses are a defining New York street style.

5. Athleisure

Our studio Looooves this trend with a capital L!! It’s a step up from leggings and a flowy top. It’s cute, comfy, and oh so chic. It’s the office meets the gym and we are IN.

6. Pompoms

These are some of Kelly (aka Lola's) fav things. PomPoms are all the rave and we want them on everything. We love this look added to a pop-of-color scarf. This chick is ready for the runway.

7. Adidas Shell Top Superstars

Not gonna lie, our President, Jeff Hutto, rocks these on the regular. It wasn’t until some of our favorite bloggers started wearing these that we were all like, “yep, need em.” No offense Jeff, we love ya (and your style)! These retro sneakers look good with skinny jeans, skirts, swing dresses, and if you’re Jeff, ankle pants and a nice plaid shirt. 😘
